Gaming
Gaming is both an academic interest and a hobby for me. After writing my MA thesis on tabletop role-playing games (TRPGs), I turned it into my first book, which has been well-received. I am recently published an edited collection with Stephanie Hedge that updates scholarship about TRPGs for digital tabletops and actual play podcasts. In that collection, I have a chapter about D&D themed board games. I don't play many TRPGs these days, but I'm an avid board gamer geek.
One of my favorite classes to teach is my Senior Seminar for English majors on Games & Narrative. In addition to individually designed games, we do group game design projects.
