Mentoring
One of the best things about my job is working with students, graduate teaching assistants and faculty. Here I'd like to thank my own mentors and highlight my amazing students.
My Mentors
Nancy Penrose was my first WPA. She introduced me to teaching composition, the field, and administrative work.
Katy Powell, my dissertation director, struck the perfect balance of compassion and pushing me forward. I try to mirror her approach whenever possible.
Jackie Grutsch McKinney was my faculty mentor when I came to BSU. She subtly introduced me to being a member of a department as faculty and taught me to respect my own time and limits.
